Is there a way to get metrics from Itunes?
Since your files are probably going to be somewhere on your servers the simplest thing would be to attach file analytics to the files that are being downloaded.
As for the stream you can have the RSS feed burned through feedburner which will monitor the subscribers of the stream.
Which blogging software allows you to host the blog (ie, embed it) directly into your own website?
you can either go the cheap way and pull your RSS feed from an external platform (blogspot, wordpress.com, or whatever) into your website, format it so it looks pretty and voila, there you go.
Now, the expensive version is to do the same thing I did on my website (http://lars-hilse.de/) which was more of an accident. I had created a website and then integrated my own wordpress blog into there. Cost a lot of tears and sweat though. The point I’m trying to get to is that you’ll have the full functionality which you will NOT! have when you just import the feed (comments, etc.).
Spammers discover Twitter as their new venue to show off
Before any misundestandings arise: Twitter’s architecture is ingenious because you have to click “follow” until you can be spammed!

And it’s against my belief there are some serious issues about Twitter which transfer it’s status from a toy to a professional level. Read more >>
Pretend Open Source to get the word out – then let em pay
Although it seems a bit unorthodox at first sight the way ActiveCollab has gained fame is probably one of the most ingenious ones I’ve ever seen on the web.
Until late 2007 and version 0.7.x, ActiveCollab was declared an Open Source project and free of charge and use. It did have a few bugs back then but was – all in all – usable.
Today, I wanted to check back and take another look at the project to see Read more >>
